I'd completely support LSU putting all of their NIL $ into the Football program ....

I love the extremes people go to make their point. Nobody = OP and his small group of friends. I'm sure when people say things like this they surveyed literally everyone in existence before coming here to make this post.

don't think so. The scholarship numbers between men and women have to be the same. Not so?

I wonder when people say these things if they take into account the trophy case?

Baseball averaged 4K more in attendance this year than men’s basketball. I’m not sure the numbers would support your argument that people care about men’s basketball as much as baseball. It would in fact suggest that people do give “2 shits” about baseball.

Also, LSU has plans to spend most of their house settlement money on football anyway. LSU is planning to allocate the majority of this revenue to football (75%), with men's basketball receiving 15%, women's basketball 5%, and the remaining 5% shared among other sports like baseball and gymnastics. So that seems to already be the plan. But I’m sure they appreciate knowing that you fully support that.

WBB is the biggest money loser in the department. And that is with LSU being one of the best programs in the country. Dumping a ton of NIL money into the sport isn't a great investment.

Football should get the most. Followed by MBB, then baseball if we are talking pure potential ROI. Just because McMahon has been terrible in his 3 seasons doesn't mean the men's basketball program doesn't have the potential to be a great program (not unlike Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, etc). For much of SEC history LSU was a better program than all of those.

And are you the one that will go tell all of those kids, one by one, that they don't get anything?

The only thing being taken into account are feelings.

Here is what would be cool, if everybody on this board sent Bayou Traditions 50 bucks. Just one time 50 bucks. You want it to go to football, check football, general fund, check general fund, womens basketball, check womens basketball.

You think LSU cares more about women’s basketball than men’s basketball? Give me a break. Lol

You must be too young to remember when the basketball team was a consistent tournament team.

It’s really a shame that a school like LSU can’t seem to get the right hire for basketball. They had a guy with Will Wade, but let him walk.

One day LSU will get a guy that can put LSU basketball on the map, and you’ll see the deaf dome return.
