Anyone else tipping less?

With servers paying no taxes on tips, I’ll be lowering what I tip to about 10% and will increase it to 15% for exceptional service. They don’t have to pay taxes but I do so I am just going to tip less.
Anyone else?
Anyone else?

Nope but I'm not poor.

Ultimately I probably won't change just because I probably won't think about it "in game." I have no immediate problems with your logic, though.

Negative...I'm an over-tipper.
I eat at restaurants very frequently, and I guess I feel guilty about being served.
It's a strange dynamic to me: those serving and those being served. I do my best to be as courteous and respectful to those who work in the service industry.
Contrarily, I despise being asked for tips at the register when I haven't been actually served at a table.

It's not a law yet...
...but it is going to be a fantastic way to launder money.

This bill establishes a new tax deduction of up to $25,000 for tips, subject to limitations. The bill also expands the business tax credit for the portion of payroll taxes an employer pays on certain tips to include payroll taxes paid on tips received in connection with certain beauty services.
Under the bill, the new tax deduction for tips is limited to cash tips (1) received by an employee during the course of employment in an occupation that customarily receives tips, and (2) reported by the employee to the employer for purposes of withholding payroll taxes. (Under current law, an employee is required to report tips exceeding $20 per month to their employer.)

Tipping in a restaurant was 15% for decent service for as long as I can remember. Where 20-25% for decent service came from I have no idea. I only give 20% if it’s excellent.

I have TIP FATIGUE.
I'm at a conference at a hotel all week. Yesterday I went down to the hotel market to get food because there wasn't enough time to leave and get back in time. Not only did I have to pay $15 for a shitty little sandwich and bag of chips, but I used the self-checkout. The DIY kiosk asked if I wanted to tip. I don't even tip cashiers. I'll be damned if I'm going to tip a fricking machine.

Won’t tip if I’m standing up to order or in the drive thru.

I like your logic and I’m an over tipper. It’s bullshite they don’t have to pay taxes for their work but I do. They just got a 10-15% raise so they get a “livable wage” (whatever that means) on less tips now.

Only when I get draft beer at the local pubs and it’s outrageously priced ($9-$12), I lately tip just $1 per pint.

No, but I’m also not a piece of shite.

If your accountant charged $100 an hour and he all the sudden didn’t have to pay taxes on that, you’d be cool with giving him an auto 15% raise for doing the same thing?

I’m tipping more (I’m rich)
