The GW lady calls me when she sees an unfamiliar vehicle at our property to make sure no poaching. Can't say a bad word about her.

Two LDWF guys came up to my son and his friend yesterday cleaning nearly 200 lbs. of snapper we caught- 4 man limit. Unbelievably epic day. Had a mess of Lanes and Vermillions mixed in.
We were totally legal, ROLP filled out on the ride back in.
But only those two with the fish. No way other than them going get us at our slip (OT brag) to prove they didn’t have double the limit.
We saw them talking to the kids, when they came back they said “Man those guys were cool- they were impressed with how big they were and wanted to know where and how we did it”
“We told them we can’t tell you our secrets, but if you really wanna bust us for something we got a hundred dressed Dos Gris in the ice chest in the back of our truck we been defrosting”
It’s been my experience with LDWF, Coast Guard, and MDWFP that of you’re cool with them and have nothing to hide, they’ll be cool back to you.
I appreciate them protecting the stuff I like to hunt and fish so my grandkids can enjoy it too.
