As of now, assuming Noot isn’t back, I go Evans, Rizy and I think Williams will probably be the number 3 guy. Those are the guys that have exhibited the best control this year. Schmidt will get every opportunity to be a starter but he has to have better control. We have so many options. Sheerin is the unknown. He could slid into the 2 or 3 slot. Not knowing much about our portal pitchers, that’s my best guess.

Cowan in the discussion, IMO.

If the youngsters can continue to develop, with all this depth, it may be ideal for Cowan to come out of the bullpen in same primary relief role that he excelled at most of this year.

Sheerin/Noot piggy back.

Wait, is Shores gone?
That's the thinking.
I don't fully understand the projected MLB pay but Shores would stand to triple+ his pay by returning. IOW, it would be to his financial advantage to return. This assumes the Shores we see in '26 will be the Shores we saw in late '25.

I'd day Shores is gone, but that's just a guess on my part.

If you admit to not fully understanding intricacies of the MLB draft, where are you coming up with this triple pay number and that it would be to his financial advantage to return? He's not coming back.
