I remember when they had the articles about this filming. Forgot all about the movie until I saw it was out on Max today. The trailer looks interesting.

Need to watch that most post and mid credits scenes

Didn’t know those were in the theatrical cut

But a fun enjoyable original movie

Damn. I’ve been waiting for this to hit streaming. I’ll watch it this weekend, maybe even tonight.

Started out great finished stupid. Could have been a really good movie. Dropped the ball at the goal line.

I saw this with my daughter at the theater when it came out. She really wanted to see it, I went in knowing nothing about it. If you'd told me the plot before I went in, I would have expected it to be at best a forgettable horror movie and been prepared to hate it. I was blown away by this movie. It is fantastically well done, and really, really good. The parts I would have expected to like the least, were really, really well done and frankly amazing. I'm excited to watch it again.

During a recent interview with ScreenCrush, “Sinners” producers Sev Ohanian shared a “fun Marvel easter egg” hidden in Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller. Ohanian revealed that costumes originally set for the highly anticipated “Blade” were repurposed for “Sinners” after the Marvel production hit a roadblock.

quote:

“[Costume designer] Ruth Carter was working on the Blade movie that ended up not shooting,” he explained. “At one point that movie was going to deal with, and she’s talked about this before, but at one point that film was going to deal with the past around the same era as ‘Sinners.’ She happened to have a warehouse full of period-appropriate clothes, and it was like, ‘Yo, we got to shoot this movie like tomorrow.’ And Marvel was generous enough and kind enough to let us basically purchase it at price.”

This. You haven’t finished the movie without watching the first credits scene. HBO shrinks the screen like the movie is over but please keep watching. The end credits scene is good but the first is necessary.

That was a fun movie.
Some silly lines and one poorly timed 80s love guitar , but overall very fun to watch.

I'm wondering if they couldn't use the old "devil at the crossroads" tale.

And yes, please watch the mid credits scene. It's a nice end.

It was just OK. Could have been about 40 minutes shorter

I was up in my media room and made it to the part when they were hiring the harmonica player.

Dogs were down stairs and my Great Dane just had a major surgery and he hopped the baby gate and busted in when the fireworks started

Will try watching it tomorrow.

Wasn’t quite sure what the movie was going to be. Pleasant surprise. That was really good.

It’s like a better From Dusk Till Dawn. Really beautiful movie in a lot of ways. Great music and visual shots,
