Perdomo Cigars- The Perfect Gift Cigar If You Want to Make Someone Nauseous

Hands down the most nicotine kick of all cigars that I smoke. I like buy lot of sampler cigar assortments to keep it interesting- Alec Bradley, Oliva, Partagas, Macanudos, Punch, Montecristos, Casa Blanca, Romeo and Julieta, My Father's Cigars,Acid Cigars, Tobac Especial, Nub cigs etc...I've tried a lot of good cigars, from mild to maduro.
While Perdomos are well rolled and come with a good humidity rate, anytime I light one up I get yeeted into another dimension of unwellness. I can't go through the motherfricker without getting nausea.
The market for those cigars must be for some Winston Churchill type mofos who smoke 8-10 cigars daily. I don't get who they cater to with that insane nicotine content.
Maybe there's a right way to smoke them by not taking a smoke every 30 seconds and you gotta pace yourself to like 1 minutes or more. Curious if anyone else had any experience with Perdomos.

Cigars stink. Pipe for me if I started smoking again.

Lol. I've enjoyed many dark oily box pressed maduro Perdomo's over the years. One of my fav smokes. Back in the mid 2000's some friends at my favorite cigar bar at the time bought a huge inventory of Rocky Patel's. Some of the cigars were small batch kinda "Boutique" smokes not for the general population and were obscenely strong. I don't know if it was "nicotine content" or what but after a few puffs you had to sit down and collect yourself.

@Disco
So you to get a kick in the arse from it, just like I do.
I like a mild buzz, not a "I have to lay down" type buzz. It lets go quickly, but I don't enjoy that initial onset. It's not measured or enjoyable.
I can smoke two Casa Blanca Half Jeroboam back to back which is like a 66 gauge 5'' without any serious effects, but I go through first half of Perdomo 10 Anniversary 7'' or whatever in 53 gauge and I'm already not feeling great.
It must be for big arse people with crazy nicotine tolerance.

Some cigars are "smelly" but It's far less offensive than weed smell.
It's definitely something to do outdoors with a good ventilation.
Health wise it's less harmful than occasional drinking, actually. Before I smoked cigars I would drink 2-3 light beers in the late afternoon/night sometimes 4-5 on a weekend to relax and get a buzz on. After acquiring a taste for stogies I stopped caring for beer. Anytime I drank beer I notice flushing to my face and occasionally some bloating if the hops didn't agree with my dinner. And forget about wine and hard liquor, dont' care for it.
So my only vice is cigars. And a man got to have a vice.

Don't remember getting that much of a kick from the Perdomo's but I haven't enjoyed one in probably 6-7 years. I have a large stash of aging cigars and after your post I checked to see if I had any Perdomo's. Unfortunately, I don't.
Over the years I have come across some strong cigs that will make you a bit light headed. The CAO Brazilia comes to mind.

Whole leaf, fine quality hand rolled cigars smell wonderful. Unfortunately, in this neck of the woods most people are judging cigars based on ones purchased at RaceTrac

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. ) There's a supermarket right by my house where they sell a small assortment of these in a 4 pack different Perdomo assortment(Connecticut, Sungrown and Maduro) for a very reasonable 32.95(used to be 28.95 like 2 years ago). I don't usually get them, but when I run out of my usually stock of Oliva or Partagas or Macanudos and my shipping from JR or CigarPlace is taking too long, I'll go and get one to hold me over, and almost every time I pretty much regret it.
On the upside, they do last a long time...because you can't smoke them regularly.

Very true. Ironically some of the best smelling cigars I smelled was Perdomo Lot 23, but I haven't smoked one.

Not when you are the one smoking.

Gotta love that. I can never tell what my cigars smell like after a few mins.
Women are most common to complain about cigar smell, it's in their DNA to complain about it.

Is this a new metric for cigars?

Aladino Maduro box pressed.
If I don't time the puffs of smoke just right while mowing I'll be swerving all over 30-40 minutes in

Yeah, I think spacing out the draws is a big deal. Maybe having a snack lwith it as well. I'm always sipping on some non alcoholic drink, but without food it doesn't help to combat that onset of a nicotine bomb.
I suspect it is the density and amount of smoke you get from each draw that delivers too much of a punch. Can it be the leaf itself being incredibly high in nicotine?

Maybe quit smoking Perdomo cigars? If they make you sick, why are you fooling with them? They’re obviously too strong for you. No harm in that. Smoke something more mild. To quote Frank Costello “it ain’t adding inches to your dick”.

A perdomo was my very first cigar.
I’ve gotten into the habit of spitting a bit more with the heavier nicotine content cigars rather than drinking down all that tar with whatever bourbon/whiskey I’m pairing.
No nausea issues with any stick.
As far as odor, any “lingering” odor is terrible. My clothes get washed immediately, and I brush my teeth/mouthwash a couple times before bed.
Avoids “cat shite mouth” in the morning.

I love Perdomos and find them very accessible, priced right, and great smokes. I'm not a cigar snob but I know what I like. Smoked quite a bit over the years.
The Champagne, maduro 20yr aniv, Bourbon barrel aged in Connecticut and Maduro and the Lot 23 are all in my regular lineup

I find that cigar smoke is relaxing. If I could sit on a porch that smelt like boot leather, smoking a cigar, and sipping great bourbon, over looking mountains or a lake,....Id never leave.
