LaFell Jr. Breaks Quincy Wilson’s 400m Meet Record at Adidas Track Nationals (web page from MileSplitUSA)

Anyone know if he's interested in football? I don't see him listed on any recruiting boards. Loved watching his dad play...

shite. I’m old. I was sitting here trying to figure out why Brandon LaFell was still running track at this age.

Then it hit me. It was about his son.

He's probably gonna lean into basketball. He's a better prospect there. Hopefully he's a tiger regardless of what sport though.

Marcus Spears and Brandon Bass both have sons who are pretty highly rated basketball recruits.

When you run like that, football. He’s going to be one of the best players in Texas in both sports.

They all like basketball better at that age. Football is always safer.

Yes, he plays football, basketball, and track. Basketball is his favorite sport. He will be a freshman this year.

We called him that, too. The weird thing was he made every difficult catch but dropped easy ones. Lacy (RIP) always reminded me of him in that regard. But I think that was really only true in LaFell's freshman year. He got steadily better each year.

This kid definitely grew up to be a NegaTiger douchebag. Likely Nicholastiger.

This is so true, trying to remember was it him or maybe Bowe that ended up getting contacts or lasik that vastly improved their performance catching the football.
