Pays and half dont. I heard….heard thru the grapevine that if u dont put a lien on that persons house within 2 yrs…then the HOA cant come after that homeowner for that period of time. Any HOA lawyers in here?

I suggest incessantly knocking on their door and showing them how much of an annoying loser you are for being the HOA narc

You stop paying and get everyone else to stop paying also. If nobody is paying they will have to do something.

Was pulling out of a subdivision last week, and they had a sign posted at the exit that said “Pay your HOA dues, Jim Doe.” I believe it meant to indicate that dues should be paid TO Jim, but it occurred to me that it’d make a helluva deterrent if they listed the names of the scofflaws.

I’m glad I live in an older neighborhood that doesn’t have HOA fee. The idea of a random entity having power and money claim over people who owns the actual house and land isn’t right.

Tell the government.

Meh, they mow my yard and pay for water. Fee is very reasonable.

Public shaming might work. Email out a monthly newsletter and have a list of all residents. Names in green paid, red have not.

Then their neighbors can make fun of the poors when they drive by.

At least the government can’t tell you to paint your house a creation color, don’t put signs on the front yard, or can’t install solar panels. Hoa will get in your business…“Trim that tree”, “new mail box not right”.

I got a house in my neighborhood and they painted it pink. So what if it looks odd? I think it looks unique. It one of hundreds of houses in the area. So what? It’s not affecting the value of the neighborhood. Let people live.

My HOA hired a collections agency that will definitely file a lien against the property. The HOA will get the money eventually if they want to sell or when the estate is settled.

One of the many reasons I wouldn’t live in a neighborhood.

I love my HOA. Drama free (when the karens try to start drama they nix that shite), we don't pay a lot, they keep up the grounds and common areas of the neighborhood, very transparent accounting, keep the rif-raf in line.

Maybe the HOA should have to actually provide a service and stop giving exemptions on "rules" to you and your buddies.
