How many of you have a winch on vehicle and actually use it?

4x4 spinoff.
I have one. Used it to pull bushes and stumps out of the ground.
Haven’t used it to get unstuck yet. Have 4WD.

Had one. Used it to pull other people out a bunch. Never saved myself with it. They are borderline useless in Louisiana.
Could save your shite in the mountains though. Chose to just bring a come along instead of buying a $3k+ winch.

I do stupid shite in my Jeep though, but that's the whole reason I bought an old one is so that I can do stupid shite.
On my truck I don't have a winch because I never used the winch on my previous truck.

I used mine to pull down a dead tree just last week. BIL got his chainsaw stuck in it

all things considered, a wench would be much more pleasurable. Winches tend to be hard and cold with sharp edges, they don't understand what you tell them, and aren't interested in verbal commands or even suggestions. Efforts to force them to do anything can result in injury.

Have one on my SxS that I’ve used a couple of times pulling stuck golf carts out of the soft sand in grand isle.
Had one on an old jeep that was never used. It came with the jeep tho I didn’t add it.

My Bronco Everglades came with a winch and a snorkel. I haven’t used and hope to never have to use either, but how could I not get the Everglades edition when I spend so much time chasing snakes in the Everglades?

Who hurt you?
I run a 12k winch. I've used it more times than I care to admit.
All in louisiana. It was under $500.
Sxs has a 6k on the front and a 4500lb on the back. Have used neither on the new one. Hope I never do.
