Jerry Bruckheimer developing sequels for Days of Thunder, Pirates/Carribbean & Top Gun 3

... And says he's talking to the Navy right now about a Crimson Tide sequel that could star Denzel if the script is right.
I know it's Hollywood producer talk to always blow up projects and most of them will never get made, but Bruckheimer is back on a hot streak with Maverick and F1 and it's obvious Hollywood is now going to try to replicate 80s/90s Tony Scott type nostalgia while they still can after recent successes and the comic book genre fading.
The F1 thread even said Joseph Kosinski wants an F1/Days of Thunder crossover next.
90s action is back it seems.

Regardless of what you think of his movies or these potential projects, you’ve gotta tip your cap to a guy still going that strong at 81 years old. By all accounts, he’s still the first guy on set and the last to leave. Very clear from the BTS footage of F1 that he was heavily involved.

Nature is healing. More this, less comic book trash.

Nah
He will be 71. Time to let him exit with grace. I cringed during EQ3 trying to buy into his "action" scenes. Even Bruce Willis in his mid-60s trying to do action movies was bad. Very bad

There wasn't much action, physically, in Crimson Tide. It was more of wits being waged. Denzel could pull off a captain or something high ranking, probably have some racism sprinkled in for fun when they try to revolt against him in his new mission.
Hopefully they can get Quentin Tarantino back to write some choice scenes.

Bruckheimer back on pirates would be sick. Those first 3 movies were/are great
ETA: I thought he only did the first 3 for some reason. Upon realizing I was wrong and he did all of them I’m back out on pirates coming back.

Remember back when there were new, exciting action movies that weren't IPs from multiple decades ago? I remember.

NASCAR is begging for a sequel to Days of Thunder.

Yeah, do one about how its become a bunch of soy boys. Old school dudes like me remember when they raced at Talladega last weekend, and Daytona this weekend. How about Dick Trickle puffing on heaters during a caution and flicking the cigarette out the windows? Now it's fruitcakes complaining about nooses and gas pedals being too wide for narrow feet. Sport absolutely sucks. Old man France wouldn't stand for it

It's too bad Don Simpson is dead

If true, this is amazing considering most "producers" seldom step foot on a set.

Depends on what type of producer you are and what type of film is being made I think

Do it Jerry. Make Summertime at the movies enjoyable again. Give us a reason to buy overpriced popcorn and risk smuggling in candy.

Wasn’t there a rumor a while back that the new Pirates movie would revolve around Anne Bonny, the famous Irish female pirate, and that Disney was casting a black actress in the role? I guess Disney is gonna Disney. Sounds like a recipe for another box office flop.

Gonna take some serious coke to get Jerry through these 3 productions.

Surprised they didn't tell Hollywood they'd bankroll one years ago as NASCAR was crashing in appeal.
