How is Disney+ staying afloat?

It can't be making them money, at least not as far as their original content is concerned. I'm sure non-originals like Bluey are Disney's biggest moneymakers on the platform, but holy shite: these ratings are a disaster.
Disney+ has only one original show in the Top 50 for streaming/broadcast in 2024-25 and that is Agatha All Along (#45). Netflix, their main rival, is absolutely DESTROYING them with 18 original shows in the Top 50. Keep in mind this list includes both broadcast and streaming.

How many people have a subscription but never watch?
Used to be my household... paid every month and barely used it. I unsubscribed early 2024 and haven't missed a thing, except The Bear which I had on Hulu through the bundle.
My kid can find all the Bluey he wants on youtube.

We get Disney+ free through our Verizon account. And we get Hulu for free for having Disney+..
We watch some stuff on Hulu. Not a bad platform. We very rarely watch anything on Disney+. We do watch Pixar. Good stuff.

Some of the whiniest anti-Disney posters here scoff at the idea of canceling Disney+ and not vacationing to Disney multiple times a year. They aren’t serious people.

Disney is a pretty terrible company when it comes to content lately

The positive of Disney+ is all the kids bullshite on it. The number of those subscribers has to dwarf the amount using it just for their newer content. Just bluey alone makes them a ton

I have Disney+ with my cell phone plan for years and I have never actually downloaded the app or watched a single thing on it

None of those Netflix shows has the eternal staying power of the Disney classics that will keep Disney+ perfectly fine as long humanity continues to have children.

You get it bundled with HBO max and Hulu for 17 bucks. It’s a really good deal.

I know this thread is just rolltide making a new thread under a diff title to bitch about Disney but i dont think he can name any network that put out anything better than what disney put out this year

Surprised about HBO. Only saw The Penguin, which is excellent.
