Nick Saban is kinda gay
ETA: How quickly you fools forget his ridiculousness whilst he coached Alabama.

GOAT
Absolutely HATED that he eventually went to Bama, but he absolutely changed the trajectory of our football program.

Obviously he was wildly successful at Alabama, but the way he talks about LSU I think a part of him regrets leaving for the NFL

LSU was always going to lose Saban to testing the NFL whether it was 2004 or any other year after.
It’s just unfortunate that he fell right into Alabamas lap.

Without him we’d be something like Texas Tech right now.

Hated to see him leave but he did and that's that. He brought LSU back to life in football and made it a desirable place to be again. And he won a title while here. Good luck coach

Alazae, Big Whit and Sabes getting inducted on the same night. tEarly-mid 2000s LSU nostalgia is strong tonight boys.

He asked to come back, unfortunately Skip didn’t have the gumption to fire Miles and they would’ve taken some heat initially but it would’ve been our 16 years of dominance.

I'll always be grateful to Nick.

Which is probably him being a little bit disingenuous to himself.
Failing in the NFL might have been better for him in the long run. He was better as an Alabama coach than he was as an LSU coach.

Thank you Ms Terry... you're a true Tiger!
Can you imagine what LSU football would be like today if not for Nick Saban's eventful five year stay in Baton Rouge?

You always have a special place in your heart for your first love, LSU was that for Saban.

Imo Saban was instrumental in the process of elevating LSU football but the trajectory of LSU football was always going to happen, it was inevitable.

I’ll always be thankful for Saban arriving to LSU at the end of ‘99 and awakening that sleeping giant. He’s right just that 5-year stint really ignited this thing! Him leaving was a crushing blow for me personally. I mean I listened to every word the guy ever spoke on radio and tv for 5 years straight. His talk of human condition, etc…….. greatly helped me in my own life. The guy was kind of like a therapist for me LOL. Then he was gone. But life must go on. That said, though, I never adjusted to Les Miles. I never could feel the same excitement during any Miles’ season, not even 2011.

That’s good stuff. Never heard this before.
I did hear the one where his wife was in a local restaurant and there was a board up with names of perspective coaches, and Nick’s name wasn’t on it, so she walked up and added it.

I was they.
He was very gracious.
He does know how to say the right things.

This is truth.. I very much enjoyed the Les Miles’ years, but if Skip would have allowed Saban back, LSU would be the absolute premier college football team to this very day.
