He wants to turn North Carolina purple for good.

I've got democrat yankees in my neighborhood that cannot understand how things got so bad but are still putting the pro-tranny flag on flagpole.

Meanwhile I have some great neighbors from NY/PA/NJ that are maga as hell.

I say let them in to outnumber the progs.

My daughter is in NC. Her friend was complaining how too many damn Yankees were moving in and were going to screw up the good things they enjoy. My daughter told her, "Sara, you were from NJ."

Some people who understand why they fled the blue rot and are even more protective in fending it off.

If you are white and live in a place where a leader can openly say something this racist and is NOT immediately shut down and run out of town,

you need to get the frick out of that place.

Its "Free" until they run out of other folks money.

Curious why no one has displayed pictures of grocery stores of Cuba, prior to Castro, vs today.

Government-run grocery stores don’t magically escape the economic realities private retailers face. In high-theft areas, like North Baton Rouge or parts of LA, shrinkage (theft/spoilage) can hit 3-5% of inventory, compared to a 1.4% national average, per the National Retail Federation (2023).

A government store in these areas would still deal with:

• Theft and Looting: Organized retail crime (ORC), like LA’s 2023 smash-and-grab incidents ($500 million in losses for Target alone), would hit public stores too. Without strong security, shelves could empty fast, as seen in Venezuela’s state-run stores during their 2016-2018 shortages.

• High Operating Costs: Running a medium-sized grocery in an urban area like NYC or LA costs $2-5 million annually, per urban retail estimates. Add theft-related losses, and you’re looking at millions more to restock or secure the store. In low-income areas with lower sales volume, revenue wouldn’t cover costs.

• Bureaucratic Inefficiency: Government enterprises often struggle with supply chain issues or mismanagement. Look at the NYC subway system’s $19 billion debt and chronic delays—public groceries could face similar red tape, leading to understocked shelves or poor service.

This is what happens when you get people who have never held a real job. This dude was a rapper and worked for a non profit.

Newsom's expansion of Medi-Cal to cover illegals has lasted all of around a year/year-and-a-half and he's already asking the legislature for billions more AND having to cap the program.

I predict NYC will be similar to that (see also: San Fran) by the end of this lugnut's first term.
