Just curious… seems like it would be quick and easy 1/2 person dish…
Anyone ever done it?

Would probably taste better sautéed in butter & garlic…

I will do that with shrimp I've peeled and frozen when making something like shrimp fettuccini. I like to get my seasoned water to a boil, toss the peeled shrimp in and shut off the fire and let them soak for no more than about 5 minutes then drain them.
They take on the flavor of the boil and are still pretty firm to be used in the cream sauce to finish the dish.

Just enough water to boil the shrimp in and just enough seasoning to do the job. At most I'm only boiling 2 lbs. of peeled shrimp, so just enough water to cover them by about 1 in.
As for the seasoning, whatever floats your boat. Give the water a taste and go from there. I've boiled enough to know how the water should taste but I never really measure anything when I cook.
Been doing it so long I really don't need to.

I’m not sure that would hold up to the heat from the

A bag of head on Shrimp at Rouse's is about 2 pounds. I do about a cup and a half of crab boil powder.
Bring water to a boil. Drop the Shrimp and bring back to a boil. Cut the fire and let soak until seasoning is right(start tasting after 3min).

I don’t boil them on the stove, but I season and steam the fairly often. Great quick meal.

I use the side burner on my gas grill to boil 2 or 3 pounds of shrimp in a stock pot. Keeps the seasoning smell outside.
Edit: Just noticed you said peeled shrimp. Not sure how that would do.

Use Old Bay and you won't have this problem.

I don't know how I feel about boiling peeled shrimp to begin with, but the wife and I boil shell on shrimp on the stove all the time, so if there are problems, it won't be because you're on the stove.

I do it all the time when it's just the wife and me.

thaw shrimp if frozen
Put a few cups of water and add about a tablespoon of salt. Slice up 1 lemon, bring all to a boil for about 2 or 3 minutes. Add shrimp and turn off heat. Let them sit until cooked (about a 2 or 3 minutes) remove from water and put in a ice bath if you want to serve them cold.
