Way too easy to get hurt, if I remember correctly a player did so a few years back.
Now “J. J.” Who was on the bottom, “could not breathe”.
Maybe it is just me having a Too Close. feeling from Combat. J M O

How is that related to combat, at all? I’m also a vet…I’m just struggling to make the connection.

That player would be Lane Mestepey...a great guy, great pitcher, and probably underrated in best LSU pitcher discussions.

Dogpile is going to happen, they are 20 years bodies, they can handle it.

I've seen a lot of dog piles in my life, and I've seen one player ever get hurt, and it was because somebody stepped on their finger. Getting hurt in a dogpile is extremely rare, and the risk is not great enough to not do it. Have some fun in life.

Ditto. I mean, I get a little creeped out when people throw cigs out of moving cars at night. But dogpiles? Doesn't bring back any memories at all.

Scariest moment of my life was being at the bottom of a dog pile. It was on grass and there was so much weight on me the grass was pushing through my facemask to where I couldn't breathe. People don't realize how much weight ends up on those guys on the bottom.
