How to get rid of hornets

My buddy was at the camp and discovered a hornets nest on the eve of the camp. It’s the size of a soccer ball. Anyone have any recommendations on what to do? And yes I will video lol!!

Myself and old goat got one down at my camp by just slipping a trash bag over. Make sure it's at night and don't hit the nest before securing the bag.

That sounds ballsy as hell. Would a couple guys with that wasp spray that shoots 20 feet work? I’m thinking a couple steady streams into the entry hole should work

I've seen regular wasp fly away from the spray. One hiccup with ur plan and shite gonna hit the fan.

This reminds me, a guy at our camp said he has a big one near his stand. My 20 year old son said he wants it as a decoration at his frat house. Said he’ll just put a bunch of thick clothes on and go pull it down. If we get around to doing it this summer, I will definitely video it.

I came up with a plan. I can pull my truck up to the nest. I’m gonna roll my window down a little a stuff the gap with towels. I will have a thick glove on the trigger hand. I’m gonna hornet spray the hell out of it. Nothing will be exposed except my gloved hand and no way for the ones that escape to get in the truck. Stay tuned. Tomorrow is D Day lol!
