I had forgotten about the massive comeback vs Kennesaw St at the H-Burg Regional

Drew Brees was good on that team

Jacob Berry rarely remembered great Tiger. He laid the foundation for what was to come under JJ.

Just saw this too. Def forgot about it. 10 runs.

That wasn’t a terrible team. Could have used a couple more arms. If Berry had another year it would have been dangerous.

We were a dangerous team the next year without him..

They went through the season with Hilliard as the only reliable starter. I think we lead the country in total IP by bullpen.

Yep, same can be said for Cade Doughty.

Somehow forgot that one too but we’ve had a couple memorable seasons between then and now. LSU postseason baseball is fun as hell to watch. Two tough game 7 road regional losses and two national championships under Jay.
Moral of the story if you want to end the season on a high note, be a national seed at the end of the 56 game playoff

If he didn't get injured he likely goes over 20 HRs as well. His ability to barrel up the baseball was special. I would have liked to have him for multiple years.

I was there!
I think this game ultimately convinced my football friend to start following baseball even more.
Note: Wearing gold jerseys in the opening game in a regional may not be the move.

Makes sense. Basically every game of the season was a Johnny Wholestaff moment. Amazing we made it as far as we did.
