When the bible speaks of the holy spirit speaking in tongues, it's saying that the holy spirit can speak to anyone regardless of what language they speak.
This is because it gives in understanding rather than the labels(language). Think of it as being like math. You have understanding of math, so you easily understand 1+1=2. Well, even if someone uses different symbols for those numbers, the basic principles/concepts and understanding remains the same as is universal.
Furthermore, the purpose of language is to communicate. Just speaking in random shite like this serves absolutely 0 purpose and is just people making it up looking for attention.
It's not prayers, it's theater.
