Jay strikes me as the guy who wanted this so badly and was held back a bit that he does not take this for granted now that he’s been successful.

I have no doubt that he drove over to the park this morning. Pretty sure I've heard him say he did something similar in 2023.

Sure! It's a great place to FaceTime recruits and say:

"Playing at LSU puts you here!"

Can’t imagine as a coach what this feeling is.

Getting to the top once, while definitely an accomplishment, some might try to find ways to discredit you.
Not his recruits.
Not his program.
They got lucky.
They dodged this team.
They got an easy bracket.

…but to get there again and only two years later? That’s got to be the ultimate professional “I’ve arrived” moments.

That's awesome. Jay's a man who knows how to appreciate and enjoy the journey.

probably exactly what was happening. He talks about missing out on recruiting days being in the CWS while other teams have already begun their offseason. id bet he was taking advantage of that today getting his recruiting calls underway

Appears to be an empty coors light can in the frame. Hmmm

JJ was so disappointed after losing to NC last year. I think he felt that team was peaking at the right time.

Definitely could have won it all had they gotten past that game
