LSU baseball program the best of all time

Confusing title. They explicitly say LSU is the premier program, not the best of all time

Eta thanks for fixing title

The article literally says in a one line 2nd paragraph "Greatest Ever College Baseball Program"

The title they really won was that of Greatest Ever College Baseball Program.

Those 20 Omaha visits, those eight national titles, that 8-1 record in MCWS finals, those 47 MCWS wins, have all happened over the span of 40 years

I hate to be the guy bringing up the past but our record isn’t 8-1 in the MCWS finals……it’s what 6-4 since the format change which is what I assume he was referencing? (2-1 vs UT, 0-2 UF, 2-1 UF, 2-0 CC)

It makes me question the rest of the stats because off hand 47 seems too low….

He’s saying we’ve won 8 championship games/series and lost 1 series

8-1 overall in the “finals”. 5 championship game wins + 3 championship series wins… 1 championship series loss

Not overall record in the individual games

I assume the writer means finals series wins (or championship games before the format change). That's the 8-1. But yeah it could've been worded a lot better.

You're right about that. I thought so too, so I googled it. Came back that LSU is 59-31 overall in CWS games.

CCU forum swore up and down that ESPN was just carrying the water for LSU and the SEC all series.

Didn’t realize that the head coach for USC when they won all of those titles was from Louisiana.

When I saw “Dedeaux” I had a feeling where he might be from…

I don’t think this is an earth-shattering claim or even debatable.

It’s just fact.

LSU is the standard.

Exactly. Adding up 8 championships with 3 under the best of 3 finals format would seem to be more than 47

And I see what y’all are saying with the 8-1 but man that’s a really awkward way to word it
