It's amazing to me how poorly they're managing this franchise. This is bad beyond my wildest dreams. At least they have the foresight to realize that a movie trilogy built around Rey would tank.

If you did could somehow do gigantic consensus mega-poll of all the huge Star Wars fans on the planet, ranking their favorite characters from the Star Wars universe, where do you think Rey would rank?
I'm not even kidding when I say she may not even crack the top 20.
You could delete the Disney sequel trilogy out of existence and nobody would care. The most irrelevant trilogy in the history of film.

I’d rank Rey Palpatine above the Special Edition’s Sy Snootles but below the elderly lady from Mos Espa that had bone aches from the weather.
