A long shot. He doesn’t have much name recognition outside the Birmingham metro area but I like his motivations. And he’s my niece’s brother in law. He’s a solid guy. Experience aside, we could do much worse.

The Attorney General is reportedly running. He'll be hard to beat.

My wife said he will get the women vote, says he's a hunk. A lot of women vote that way. This time may help. A conservative and a Navy seal gets my vote

I've heard him on the radio. Seems like a great guy. Zero chance of winning though, sadly. Going to be a lot names in the hat.

I don’t believe there will be any character issues at all. But beating The Machine in Alabama is still a thing. I can tell all of you here that this boy comes from good people and means what he says.

Pretty sure he ran for sheriff of Jefferson Co. in the last election and lost. That is where B'ham is though.

In all honesty a white guy isn’t winning much in Jefferson County anymore. He made a good showing and got a little more recognition. Statewide he’s fighting the kraken. I hate it because I know this dude would have jumped in front of Trump in Pennsylvania.

why the hell would anyone want to be a sheriff in a county that includes the whole of Birmingham

They actually had a decent sheriff there for years, but he finally got voted out.

I listened to him on the Shawn Ryan podcast a little while back. He’s a good American. I’d vote for him over any career politician in a heart beat.

AC Gillis in Shelby County (Memphis TN) fought the good fight for a long time. I believe he is still revered.

The demographics are probably set in Jefferson County for a long time. I liked the fact he knew what it was, and still knew he had to start somewhere. I know the odds but I’ll vote him.

He ran for Jefferson Cty sheriff a few years back and lost to the incumbent, a black guy that has turned the sheriffs office in to a clown show. Hudson is a good dude and former Navy SEAL, but lacked a solid ground game and campaign tactics. He's way in over his head running as a Senator.
