Real or not, I just don't buy it. We saw his 'fall', and it was ridiculous. George bungled Little Ani and then young Anakin's backstory. Turning a confident self assured pilot into a sniveling whiny stalker.

Thank god for TCW series. It did a lot to help Anakin's attitude in RotS make so much more sense, especially when he was denied the rank of Master, after basically being asked to commit numerous war crimes on behalf of the council and being their best General by a pretty wide margin. Yea, I've always said that episode 1 and 2 should have been one movie. I understand where they were coming from with showing a frustrated, teenage Anakin, but it was just done so poorly. You have a kid that continuously has the only people he truly cares about dying horribly, in his most emotionally time as a person, being told by this group that he shouldn't care about it and to "let go", while simultaneously being told he is the chosen one and most powerful ever, yet powerless to do anything. Then hell, coming to Yoda and telling him about his issues and fear about someone dying close to him in his visions, and instead of really helping him with it, was told you need to figure out a way to just forget about it and not care.
Since episode 2 was just so bad at conveying that frustration in a good way, it caused the "fall" to be so rushed. If episode 2 got to be a full Clone Wars movie with general Anakin, they could have done so much to build that frustration and mistrust with the Jedi.
