1 run wins and a runner on second, no freaking way I pitch to bear. Walk him and put him on first
What an idiot!

There’s a reason why he will never win in Omaha.

He learned today! Too bad he's so old he can't go anymore!

Nobody plays with a tighter a-hole than an Arkansas team under VanHorn in Omaha

Honestly there was 0 reason to even pitch around him. Literally should have intentionally walked him.

They were hoping he would chase off plate sliders and strike out like in game 1. You can disagree with the decision to pitch to him, but that is why they did it. There wasn’t a real baseball reason to do it.

Yep. Outthought himself

I think they called breaking balls out of the zone to either walk him or get him to chase and the pitcher didn’t locate

I understand it, the pitcher and fielder just didn’t execute. Jones has struggled on chasing sliders, the plan was to walk him or let him chase the slider. He caught too much of the plate and jones poked it. It was a very catchable ball for the second baseman too.

I think they were trying to just get him to chase and were going to walk him but ol boy missed his spot in tragic fashion

The second I realized he was up I said ye….awww they’re gunna walk him. Then I said ah there just giving him dogshit nothing to hit, then we all know what happened.
Between that and Alloy not even looking at second base will baffle me for a while. Like he didn’t even glance it was like there wasn’t even a runner heading to second. I couldn’t be happier about it though.
