You need 6 outs to have 2 days off.

He could have thrown 30-40 pitches and still started Sunday

I would have done the same, but what is really flabbergasting to me is that Shores throws 100-101 and he threws 3 sliders for every fast ball he threw. WHY? The hitters can't see 100....
Shores is just an average pitcher throwing more sliders than fastballs.

Shores made them ground into a double play that should have ended the inning. It’s definitely not on pitching.
