U shaped gutters

I have searched the gutter recommendations but didn't find much. Does anybody have any experience with u-shaped gutters? Do they catch water on a high pitch roof? They look so much better than k-style gutters. And any recommendations for installers in the baton Rouge area. Thanks to all responses. And I voice to texted this so the grammar may be off a touch.

I have half round copper. Look much better than anything else. Only around my patio.

You'll probably have to go with 6 in. or 7 in. half round gutters with a high pitched roof instead of the standard 5 in.
I used them on a house I owned many years ago in the 6 in. width due to the steep pitch of my roof. At the time they came in 10 ft. lengths of galvanized steel and I soldered the joints and downspout starters to make them water tight.
I read they can't be formed in one piece to eliminate the seams in the long lengths.

It’s called half round. I own a gutter business in Lafayette but we only do K Style. Maybe premier south roofing has a half round machine. But to answer your question they only hold about half of what a k style holds. They are more for looks.

Yeah, half round look nice but k style are way more functional. I installed black k style recently and I like the modern look.

Anyone got a recent quote on 6" seamless k-style gutters? I'm looking to have some installed on a new construction.

I have the half-pipe gutters and love them. We did the copper and it was high years ago when we did them but now they are high as giraffe’s arse. Check with Blanco Bros. in BR and also Design Exteriors out of New Roads but comes to BR. I have experience with both.

Half round gutters.
They’re more for look than function.
We have them on our home in Louisiana that are copper, while they look great, they aren’t awesome when it comes to heavy rains.
