Looking at getting the meat grinding one. Not making bread.

Use the juicer attachment pretty frequently during the summer.
Maybe pasta attachment if you want to make fresh pasta?

I have the meat grinder/stuffer, hook & blade, & pasta attachment. I never use the pasta attachment...

It comes with the whisk one right? My wife does whipped cream all the time for desserts, too easy.

The dough spiral works better than the dough hook.
And if you make icing a lot, get the aftermarket paddle that has the scraper.

Get this! It's a game changer. Make sure you get the steel one though; the plastic will crack.

I replaced the standard paddle mixer with one of these. Game changer.

They make them now with a scrapper of both sides

How so?
It scrapes really well so not as much sticking to the bowl.
Also, because it's powder coated I can throw it in the dishwasher which is fantastic.

Thanks. KitchenAid was selling the artisan refurbs for 229 so I bit the bullet.

I was going to say this. I use my grinder all the time. But the first one (plastic) cracked and I replaced it with the stainless steel one. No problems since.

The paddle will shred chicken really well too.

Thanks. Noticed there was a $30 difference between the two.

I had to replace my plastic grinder with the steel also. For big batch grinding I go with my LEM, if you're grinding 25 lbs of pork shoulder, you don't want to do it with the KA.

I have this pasta roller. It is half the price of the KitchenAid version and it works great. I've had it for 5 years and its still going strong.
