BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - An Evangelist from the Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, Jimmy Swaggart, went into cardiac arrest around 8 AM on Sunday, June 15.
Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services rushed him to a hospital, where he is currently in the intensive care unit, his family says.
Swaggart’s family is asking for prayers during this difficult time

He’s still alive?

Sorry to hear. Hope he wasn’t on Airline getting an elevated heart rate again.

His bus side-swiped my bus on the way to the state capitol field trip in elementary school. As kids, we hooped and hollared aboot him and his prostitutes. Funny moment, but I never forgave him for that.

Serious illness is hard on any family and they have my sympathy. No more needs to be said.

He’s around 90 years old, and I’m not sure what his health was like, but at that age, I imagine the hope is just to remain physically and mentally functional for as long as possible. Most people probably just wish to pass peacefully in their sleep. I get that asking for prayer in these situations is kind of standard, but when someone’s lived a full, long life, I’m not always sure what exactly we’re praying for, immortality?

I really had no idea he was still alive. Gotta be in his 90’s…

Few things I love more than a shitty hypothetical fake Christian.

It's easy to stand back and say that but when you're going through it there's the urge to do more, even when you know that's not what they would want. Even if they've put it in writing. We put my mom in hospice knowing it was really the only alternative, but it was still hard to make the decision.

Good riddance.
A black eye on Baton Rouge and society as a whole.
His last chance at a place in heaven is giving back the ten's of millions he stole from scared, naive, desperate people who truly believed that sending him their last few dollars would solve all their problems.

I remember seeing his wife with him on TV back in the 80s. Looked her up to find Miss Frances is still kicking at 87. She was 15 and he was 17 at the time of their marriage.

Only 1 tv evangelist has scammed more elderly people out of money. The GOAT Bob Tilton.
