I recall Coach O referencing UCLA’s sissy blue jerseys - that didn’t end well!

I just can't believe we went two-and-cue in the 2013 CWS. That was one of LSU's all-time best units.

Plutko peppered the top of the zone all game getting us to hit a million deep fly balls

Your PTSD and LSU’s loss was an opportunity for Mr. Chris Guillot to become a UCLA fan and keep the spotlight.

With todays bats/balls we blow them out with multiple homers and doubles off the wall

I remember mowing through Oklahoma in the Super Regional (against…Jonathan Gray? Was that their ace) only to flop in the CWS.

Yep I remember that whole stint in Omaha and felt like the beginning of the end for Mainieri. Convo became the little dudes he recruited weren’t built for this park

Looking at UCLA's lineup that year not 1 person in their starting 9 batted over .300. They just had Plutko and Vander Tuig mowing people down. Only allowed 4 runs in the cws

That era of baseball and that ball park was just a horrible combination.

That was the ultimate dead ball era at TD Ameritrade that year and that was doom for that 2013 LSU team which was a pretty heavy HR hitting team while it set up perfectly for the ultimate small ball UCLA team. If that same LSU team plays that same UCLA team today LSU probably wins by 4-5 runs at minimum.

Ibarra had 3 that should have been home runs. They would have with today's bats.

That's the best team I've ever seen LSU have to not win a title.

That wad the most bullshite year ever with the shite new bats and the new Omaha stadium. I remember Mason Katz crushing a ball and it not going out. I was worried that year that they went too far and college baseball was always going to be gay.

After that year Paul started building his rosters differently.

Looking back now it's even more insane to think of the talent on that team and we didn't win one game in Omaha

Aaron Nola
Alex Bregman
Andrew Stevenson
Jacoby Jones
Mason Katz
Rain Rhymes
Mark Laird

That team was absolutely stacked.

13 and 17 teams are forgotten teams that were both really good

17 isn't really forgotten. Bouncing Oregon State's invincible team and making the finals is something everyone remembers

2015 is the other forgotten team.

Lange going 9 innings complete game against Fullerton to keep us alive was one of the all time great LSU pitching performances that goes almost completely forgotten about
