I’m more likely to play for LSU next year than Jones.

He should! Will be a late draft pick.

There are no more big body players left with power. besides Bear and Frey..

I hope Jay doesn't take the Manarei approach and bring in small players.

Loses all leverage next year. That alone with very doubtful to shoot up draft boards. Pretty easy for him to leave and see if he can develop in the minors.

Not sure about the freshman coming in but I think we have 4 guys next year who could be big power bats

Arrambide
John person
Brayden Simpson
Seth dardar

Plus I could see someone like brown or Larson or even milam making a big leap

I told my son last night Besr and Shores should come back.

They can both improve their stock tremendously and develop way more in college than the minors.

Bear should not be drafted high in a few weeks bc he’s shown he can’t handle off speed away. So why sign for peanuts when you can make more playing for lsu next year and get better development while doing it.

Also shores has an electric arm. Next year he could have a skenes type breakout year and go top 5 overall

Why? If it works, it works. Small ball is exciting.

You play 120 games a season in A Ball. How exactly do you develop way more in college by playing half as many games?

He should. He lost a lot of money this year

I think Shores could definitely stay and improve but someone will take a chance on him, just because of the physical tools.

At this point, Bear has played a lot at LSU, not sure he'd really benefit greatly from more time here.

How have some of you been watching college baseball for 10+ years and still have zero understanding of draft leverage?

I’m crazy but I think it’s a legitimate question Jones will ponder:

Go pro now with leverage and get every dollar I can out of my baseball career

Or

Go for the HR record holder for LSU baseball and cement myself as an All-Time Tiger and go pro with no leverage

Easy business decision. More difficult the more you listen to your heart.

I’ll be pleasantly surprised if he comes back. Less than 10% chance.
