Looking at strikes and swinging at balls

Looking at WAY too many pitches right down the middle. And Bear won’t swing until he’s down 0-2 in the count.

It’s obvious the gameplan is to lay off the slider and offspeed but the problem is this guy throws it for a ton of strikes

To their defense. The HP Ump is all over the place. Pretty bad calls both ways for sure.

In bears defense this pitcher is throwing first strike curves. I think he threw him 2 curves in a row in that last at bat.

They are throwing their breaking balls very well in the top
and bottom of the zone

The approach is obvious. They are trying to run up pitch counts. Problem is this guy has good stuff.

And they have worked his pitch count up a bit, but he's still gonna have plenty left to finish the game. Need to get base runners.

I think they were trying to run his count up early on and see if he cracks, but now they know he’s going all the way and he’s not fading. They will swing the bats a bit more now.

Ark pitcher is good. Really good. We need to stop laying off and get aggressive.
