What level of US involvement are you okay with in the Israel v. Iran conflict?

Full disclosure, I ask Grok to assist with this list.
What level of US involvement in the Israel Iran conflict are you okay with?
1. Full-Scale Military Involvement (Declaration of War and Invasion): The U.S. declares war on Iran, deploys ground troops for a full invasion, and directly engages in combat operations targeting Iran's nuclear, military, and government infrastructure. This could involve coordinated strikes with Israel, including the use of U.S. B-2 or B-21 bombers to target fortified nuclear sites like Fordow and Natanz.
2. Direct but Limited Military Strikes: The U.S. conducts targeted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear or military targets, potentially using precision munitions like the GBU-57A Massive Ordnance Penetrator to destroy underground facilities. This could occur if Israel's initial strikes succeed and the U.S. opts to escalate to prevent Iran from retaliating or advancing its nuclear program.
3. Indirect Military Support (Intelligence and Logistics): The U.S. provides intelligence sharing, aerial refueling, or other logistical support to enhance Israel's military operations without directly engaging in combat. This could include real-time data on Iranian targets or support for Israeli airstrikes.
4. Defensive Military Support: The U.S. focuses on defending Israel against Iranian retaliation, such as intercepting ballistic missiles or drones, as it did in April and October 2024. This could involve deploying U.S. missile defense systems or naval assets in the region to counter Iranian attacks.
5. Diplomatic and Economic Pressure: The U.S. avoids military involvement but ramps up sanctions, diplomatic censure, or pressure through international bodies like the IAEA to isolate Iran. This could include supporting Israel diplomatically while continuing nuclear talks to de-escalate.
6. Minimal Action (Signaling Military Readiness): The U.S. signals military readiness by repositioning assets (e.g., aircraft carriers or bombers) or issuing warnings to Iran against targeting U.S. interests, without engaging in active support for Israel’s operations.

Popping popcorn and watching tigerdroppings updates is about as much involvement as we should have.

4. Defensive Military Support:
A very limited version of number 4, only to the extent necessary to protect American assets.
Keep us out of it.

Selling them arms, equipment, ammunition, and providing intelligence. Direct American involvement is out of the question.

If they decide to attack US military installments, then I'm for some B2-Spirit squadrons dropping rounds on anything non-civillian.

Support Isreal and sell them whatever weapons they need. Seriously tho, Isreal will not need any help. Their goal isn't to invade and overtake Iran, they only want to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, which won't take them long.

ZERO! Stop funding Israel's wars!!!

Tough one.
Normally, I would have said 4 or 5, but with them attacking while the US was trying to negotiate with Iran, that throws a spanner in the works.

None
This is the correct answer.
Also, we can't trust Israel to keep their mouths shut about our involvement anyway.

so far we've had none and i'm comfortable with that.

Indirect military support via:
1) Intelligence, logistics, satellite imagery, etc
2) Selling arms directly to Israel, training the Israelis in their use
Beyond that, if this thing becomes a full war between Iran & Israel, the only other support would be marshalling our so-called "allies" (SA, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, etc) to put pressure on Iran to cut it the frick out.
Absolutely no boots on the ground even if there is a substantial strike against this country. I think we could bomb the crap out of Iran and be done with it.

I don't have a choice. I just sit back and watch what is going on. I voted for a President to take care of these decisions.

IF indeed they have nuclear material for 9 weapons(or any for that matter) I think there is a Delta unit and a DevGru unit that has trained for securing said material. That would be the only involvement I would be for. Unless Iran directly attacks our troops, vessels or us.
