Interesting journey for baseball transfer Seth Dardar

Thought it was very interesting. Local kid coming home. Guy has to be super smart, Engineering degree from Columbia (Ivy League) where he started his journey. Then to K-State had a great year, mix in a couple of years with injury- said he had TJ, torn labrum, and I believe knee surgery and has 2 years of eligibility left.
If they can tape him up good we should get a couple good years out of him before he turns 30. Finishing his MBA here at LSU! Let's Geaux!

A bit different than DT Ramsey Dardar for early 1980's.

Musso recapped his journey pretty well on yesterday pod. Kid has faced some adversity.
Interesting enough he visited here after 2023 season before transferring to K State. Guess he wasn't a take then but is now

During that interview he also stated that he thinks Frey will return.

If he can play second or third, hit 300 with 8 HR, and be a veteran Louisiana boy, then he’s perfect. I’m thinking even if he’s Josh Pearson then that’s what we need.

He seems like a great kid with a good head on his shoulders. Glad he’s a Tiger.
But it’s 2025. At this point, it’s clear you no longer have to be smart to get into an Ivy and you’re probably intellectually worse off for doing so

You may not have to be as "smart" as you used to be to get into Columbia, but an engineering degree from an Ivy League school is nothing to downplay. That's an accomplishment. I know a kid from Nola that did his undergraduate from Columbia and he is one of the smartest people I know. Jag lawyer and multiple week champion on Jeopardy.

How many middle school jokes are in this interview?

Yeah I thought it was a good interview. Made a good impression on me. A couple of facts not mentioned in this thread: he homered off Anderson. He and Anderson know each other (got treated by the same doctor). Has a couple years left because of injuries and covid. Played 3rd, 2nd and 1st, feels most comfortable at 2nd. But told Jay he will play anywhere, even DH, he just wants to hit.

How long has he been out of high school?
Completing an engineering curriculum in 3 years is nuts for anyone

Feels like he said he was a 2020 grad cause he got his Covid year and redshirt medical year. So he is an older guy, cause he was at Columbia for the 4 years sounds like.

Well you know he says that he doesn't read this shite.
There's NO way that his over inflated ego would allow him to not check to see what people are saying about him.

You think Chicken and him have some beef from back in the CALLLLIIIIIICCCCCKKKKKK high days? Maybe chicken bullied him and stuffed him in a locker so now he has to act like he doesn't read it.

Yeah looks like he was a 2020 grad and I guess didn’t play baseball his first couple years at Columbia

That kid sounded like he was excited to play here and doesn't mind where they plug him in at. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do for LSU.

Imagine being so eaten up with politics that you’re dismissive of an Ivy League education (particularly in engineering).
