The last great governor Louisiana had. (1996-2004) For 21 years now the coonarses have gotten it wrong. Blanco, Jindal, JBE, and Landry. Would the next Mike Foster for this state please step forward.

No one wants to captain a sinking ship
Mississippi is going to become only the second worst state leaving LA behind soon so we won't even be able to say "at least we aren't MS" anymore

Louisiana is firmly last already.

That was Ralph Abraham. The Robertson’s killed him.

The next great governor has already abandoned public service and went into the private sector.

This is already happening. MS is innovative and solved their public education problem

Wasn't the Robertsons. It was the coonarses NEVER VOTE FOR NORTH LA CANDIDATES. They went with phony Rispone and JBE.

First term Jindal was solid. Second term Jindal with presidential aspirations was terrible.

Nobody handled hurricanes as well as Jindal handled Gustav. I swear he was on tv giving updates every 30 minutes for a week after. It never felt like anyone was getting forgotten.

Foster was governor from 96-2004. We don't have governors with 3 consecutive terms.

Blanco, Jindal,
Both directly because of Foster. Jindal was elevated to Health and Hospitals by Foster as a jumping off point toward running for governor.
I like Foster, but his second term he really didn't do much. He wouldn't travel at all, even when trying to get major business. He also went to law school while still in office during his second term.

Solid strategy. I mean who’s gonna flunk the governor?

Is there not a former sports dude around
Bobby Herbert

I like Rep. Danny McCormick from the 1st District. He’s not a lawyer, business owner in the oil and gas industry. He’s helping lead the fight against green energy and CO2 sequestration, which would make him favorable in southern parishes.

Bobby Jindal was awesome. Miss that dude. The amount of rage he elicited from white left wingers by being a brown man who didn't know his place (the Democrat party) and stay in his lane was legendary.

Jindal was actually portrayed as a racist by the media in his campaign vs. Blanco.

Yep. I would love to see a statue of him atop the pedestal at Lee circle in New Orleans just so left wingers would have to seethe at seeing a brown Republican every time they went downtown.
Bobby had everything the left pretends they want. Child of successful immigrants, highly educated, first Indian-American governor in the United States, first person of color to govern Louisiana since reconstruction. Yet, left wingers made fun of him assimilating to the U.S. and choosing Bobby as his name, they said he wanted to be white, was stupid, etc.
As per typical, white left wingers feel nothing but pure rage when they see a brown man who doesn't stay in their lane and dutifully serve the Democrat party.

Wholeheartedly agree.

Unfortunately, you're more likely to get the next Edwin Edwards.

I'd like Garrett Graves to run
