Spin off thread : Gambling in the state of Louisiana

Open Statement of fact
#1 I have a lifelong (and I am old) knowledge of gambling in the South
#2 This extends to generations before mine including extensive equine racing history and knowledge
That being said, I offer these observations
#1 The Indian Gaming model is flawed
#2 The Racino Gaming model is flawed
#3 Removing local and regional ownership is flawed
I am not here to debate the issues of gambling or moral or religious grounds nor political debate between politicians of any party working in their self interest and not yours. This is an honest and open fact I will debate with any on here who suggest otherwise
HORSE RACING (especially thoroughbred racing) PROVIDES THE MOST JOBS (both short term and long term) OF ANY FORM OF GAMBLING IN THE UNITED STATES.
All discussions on this topic are smoke and mirrors if this is not the first issue of discussion on this subject.

Yes, for illegals. I have been involved with a racino at a particularly high level. Clearing out the crack pipes and whores from the stables was hilarious. Funny part is, the cheapskate owners of the horses used to buy beer and other staples and sell it to the illegals who tended their skittish weird arse showpiece race horses, essentially getting half the money they paid them right back.

I gotta say, I don't understand the purpose of this thread. Seems like OP wants to argue with someone about gambling but nobody is engaging. I don't gamble beyond $15 a round of golf on Sundays.

Sure, but if it makes it easier, and you trust Aspy on here she has experience with my knowledge base.

How many people are employed in the thoroughbred/horse racing industry in Louisiana?
