Is the theme of this CWS “Ghosts of the Pac-12”?

Oregon State, UCLA, and Arizona were all members of the former Pac-12. I kind of miss that conference and the way college sports were before the SEC and Big 10 became super conferences.

That being said, it’s time for our Tigers to go kick some Pac-12 ghost arse.

Wouldn’t mind seeing an LSU/Arizona or Oregon St championship series. Although I think Coastal makes it on that side.

They were always the late late games on ESPN at the after party from LSU's game.

The late games are still a thing now it’s just Big12 after dark.

The old Pac12 was perfectly fine. Usc and ucla leaving first screwed it all up. I don’t blame Oregon and Washington for leaving at that point but they would have been better off joining the Big12 with all of their former conference mates.

The ACC adding Stanford and Cal was by and far the dumbest move.

I miss the days of having to watch Hawaii-Fresno State at midnight and sweating out computer rankings

I think we will see a return to the PAC 12, at some point. Taking students out of school in Oregon in order to play a midweek game at Maryland in a minor sport that nobody watches will get old. It makes no sense.

In 2003 I had a printout on the fridge of what LSU and Southern Cal needed to happen. Every opponent's opponent game mattered.

PAC 12 was a great baseball conference (USC, Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Oregon, Oregon State)

It was never THAT good.

USC went decades without doing shite. UCLA never did anything. Oregon didn’t even have baseball. Oregon State was nothing. Arizona, Arizona St, and Stanford were the consistent programs in the 90’s and 2000’s

Fullerton was the boss out west.

The year they blew up the conference was their best year in football too.

Beat me to it..Stanford had a great program in the past. That 2000 title game was one of the best title games ever. And we’ll always remember Paul Carey’s moonshot off Big Ben in 87.

Also, Fullerton, Pepperdine, Irvine were Pac 10 ish.
