I've been tuned out of politics for awhile now.

Is he sticking to the script? Any surprises?

Have the Dems been kneecapping him with some crafty dossiers?

I’ve enjoyed it so far. 401k is up, inflation is lower, gas is lower, cost of eggs are lower, illegals being deported so much that it’s causing blue cities to riot.

What’s not to like?

I’ll admit the tariffs are a shitshow, but what else do you think is a shitshow?

Deportations happening and Dems choosing immigrants over Americans.

Prices down and cost of energy down making you continue to look like a retard.

In the process of making sure Americans don’t see a huge tax increase.

So far we have a decline in fentanyl deaths and homicdes. Year isn’t over but on track to beat the Biden years.

To be clear, we’re not “up”.

The recovery is obviously a good thing but all major markets are still lower than they were at inauguration. Some are close to all the way back but no gains yet.

Yea I do expect us to break above the Inauguration Day number sometime later this year. People forget that stocks were declining even before “liberation day”.

I think what happened was that investors got euphoric after the election, assuming trump 2.0 was going to be trump 1.0 on economy (aka bark but but no bite on tariffs) and then were caught off guard when he actually follows through

I mean what did you expect to happen? Did you think Dems were going to roll out the red carpet after trying to bury him in a federal penitentiary for four years? Did you think the left calling for war on the right was just for show? It baffles me that no one takes the rhetoric they spew 24/7 seriously, and the when it pops off we have idiots apoplectic losing their minds begging Trump not to do anything because it’s a trap.. if you can’t handle the heat, then just go sit in the corner and keep quiet.

The 24/7 melts here by commies and RonBots tells us that Trump is kicking arse and taking names.

And there seems to be a surge in troll threads which have a certain “I frick children and post on r/potlicis” vibe.

Well that’s not really true either, there’s been virtually no follow through.

The taco thing is kinda silly but it originated in trading (Robert Armstrong). Trump has walked back, paused, waffled, etc. 50+ times on tarriffs. If you went long on the exact opposite of whatever Trump said you’ve had a KILLER YTD. The “taco trade”.

We also still have exactly 0 new trade deals in place. Even the UK one isn’t in place yet, just an outline agreement w no scheduled start date.
