Who did you vote for?
Trump
But I don't think his second term has been a raging success
I know a lot of people here define success as owning the libs. But I want to see real results. It's looking like a bunch of hot air so far.

Feel free to list all of the successes of his term so far

I wouldn’t grade him less than a B because of the simple fact that the alternative would have been disastrous for this country.
And before all the non-Trump “conservative” candidate supporters argue that their candidate would have done better, the only real choice in the past election was “Trump” or “Cumula”.
And The fact Trump won despite all the political forces aligned against him is still amazing

Well yeah once Trump secured the nomination those were the only 2 real choices
And I agree that Harris would have been worse. The border would still be overwhelmed if nothing else.

And even though I’m not a proponent of massive federal government spending, again the alternative would have been much worse

I don't think the spending thing was going to be fixed by either party
Trump ran on it but anyone that wasn't completely naive knew we would still be running huge deficits
The second half of the Obama years and Trump 1.0 were both completely irresponsible with deficit spending. It's folly to run massive deficits in a time of economic prosperity. They both used deficit spending to prop up the economy as if we were in some crisis mode.

Answer.."By May 1, 2025, the White House stated that deportations had exceeded 142,000"..
If Trump continues to deport at his current rate, by the time he leaves office, he would've deported no more than 1.5 million people.
I think fewer people coming in is the much more important part of the equation with regards to immigration and we're winning that battle now.
We should be selective about the deportation process and crack down on employers that hire illegals. As in make the penalties so Draconian that it's putting these people out of business.

Going great so far!! Very pleased.

Obviously we now have a massive budget/deficit problem that has been created over decades. There are too many inside & outside the DC swamp who will fight tooth and nail for their piece of the pie. Unfortunately even Trump will not fix this issue- it’s past the point of saving. The best we could’ve hoped for was to stall the oncoming slide over the cliff as much as possible

I think it's a bit silly to ever think it was part of his plan at this point
Any reasonable person would conclude that it's just campaign rhetoric and nothing was ever going to be done about it.

There seem to be a few rational people here for sure
But the hive mind is just a bunch of childish misanthropes that have no idea what's going on

The recovery is obviously a good thing but all major markets are still lower than they were at inauguration. Some are close to all the way back but no gains yet.
You’re a fricking idiot lol. The gains came from
Election Day forward, not Inauguration Day
Holy shite

And the losses came when Trump started his trade war
And they've recovered when he has relaxed his tariffs...i.e. got bitch slapped by bond investors

Well most on the right are optimists and most on the left are nuts. So again, there were realistically only 2 choices.
I find it interesting how many on both sides of the aisle were screaming when DOGE was headline news (and even still) about the severe damage the cuts were going to create. Then turn around and argue that the planned cuts were insignificant.

A+ : Border
A : Fixing the military including but not limited to the eradication of the woke and evil DEI horse crap. Kicking the nut job trannies out, too.
Providing strong national security is 75% of what I look for out of a president so I’m pleased.
