Just an observation with a question, it looks like Dickinson is swinging an Axe bat which unless something changed recently is not owned by Marucci. My question is has anything come out about him having a possible hand injury and getting the go ahead to use the axe bat to take some of the strain off his hand? This weekend was the first time all year he has swung that and as far as I know the first time since LSU switched to Marucci that an LSU player has swung anything other than Marucci or Victus.

Whatever he's swinging seems recently to have developed a very large hole.

Marucci has the puck knob on the new catx2 and victus has the axe handle on some of theirs. I doubt it was an axe bat

Possibly a new design Victus but there is no way it was a Marucci unless also a new design that no one else has used.

His hand got smashed on a bunt attempt this weekend. So maybe.

He used this bat in both games also I think the Axe Handle is supposed to help with Hamate bone issues and he got hit on his knuckles.

I am almost positive this is the bat he was using link to justbats.com LINK /

The BBCOR version of this wasn't aware it was the drop 5 when I linked it.

I saw that bat and thought no way Marucci makes that. I’ve never noticed any of our players swing one before this weekend. I’m pretty sure Victus had an axe at some point so maybe that’s how it got in with the Marucci bats. Regardless of all that, I think Dickinson needs to leave that bat in the dugout based on his swings and attempted bunts this weekend.

But Marucci owns Victus, can't they share technology if they want ?

They could and I'm not saying they couldn't put an axe handle on one of their bats but what he was swinging doesn't look like a Marucci or Victus bat currently on the market.

I’d love to see this guy get hot. Most of the other slumps have been broken. He could be the final piece.

He is swinging the new Marucci Cat X Reckless one piece. The green handle/grip ones the others are swinging is the 2 piece.

No offense but did you watch his at bats this weekend? He was not swinging that bat this weekend.

He was absolutely swinging the Axe bat someone previously posted. My 11 year old son went crazy when he saw it. He made me rewind and pause it, so he could get a good look. He was as baffled and confused as the OP is now as to why he wasn't using a Marucci bat.

He is a very streaky hitter.
