Including the allegation that he is in the Epstein files. It is amazing how social media just moves from one issue to the next so fast that the media cannot even bear down on a story before they have to abandon it.

Because what Elon said is already known. And it's already known that Trump cooperated with authorities and banned Epstein from his properties. There's nothing new about what Elon said, I thought he was smarter than that he should have used GROK before posting his Ignorance

It may look like that with MSM if they stop talking about it but the Trump/Elon thing will have lasting consequences for the Republicans. It’s hurt the credibility of arguably the most important figure in winning the 2024 election.

Agreed. But the Trump/Elon feud is red meat for the left, and it is already forgotten.

Trump would have won the election without Elon he didn't need Elon to win the election he got over 75 million votes the first time, he won because people were sick of the last administration and their corruption. It's going to take more than 4 years maybe even 8 years after that to even start to begin to fix things

You vastly overestimate Musk's importance, conservatives' overall opinion of him, and voters' memories. The Trump/Musk fallout will have zero impact on 2028 or even the midterms.

Not as true as you would think.

We are at the point truly where independents decide the next President.

Most independents voted for Trump hoping he could straighten out the economy. So far it seems to be working.

Once the economy gets straightened out, independents will have to have another reason to vote MAGA.

We'll see what happens.

I think it was Musk's MONEY that was more important than his credibility. The really bad part for MAGA about losing Musk is we lose the threat of Musk Money going to primary any GOPe Senators who opposed President Trump’s policies.

I believe it was designed to out dems and get them to demand the Epstein files be released.

They did not fall for it.

Democrats were the most important figures for Republicans winning in 2024, but I hope you continue to believe otherwise.

Regardless if Elon gets his way, we cut spending, and that’s a win for you. If Trump gets his way, spending escalates, we eventually have economic collapse, and… you lose

Trump Administration staged the protests with paid actors and fake National Guardsmen to distract the media from he and Elon's spat.

Of course it is. Everyone has moved on. It was yet another nothingburger. How many times are you going to fall for it?

He may have, but Elon helped massively. I don’t want to know what would’ve happened had he not stepped in.

He won because of the economy, the border, and the fact that Kamala sucks.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but the average voters’ memories aren’t this long. When 2028 rolls around, people outside of MAGA aren’t going to be thinking “well, the problems we have are still caused by Biden so let’s give the R’s another 4 years.” They’re going to think either Trump fixed things or he didn’t (you cannot rationalize with most voters and say it takes more than 4 years), and they’ll vote accordingly. Average voters are stupid.

The Trump/Elon fall out communicates to the average voter that this administration doesn’t have their shite together. The two were promising big things and now they don’t like each other anymore. Vance runs in 2028 and will be associated with what people see as a disorganized / unstable administration. The Dems will absolutely capitalize on this.

I’m not saying the Dems will definitely win, I’m saying that Elon/Trump is a victory for the democrats no matter how you spin it, and the Dems will make sure no one forgets it.
