When do you get rid of childhood items?

Old yearbooks, school uniforms, trophies. Awards That sort of thing.
I have about 8 plastic tubs of this stuff in my garage. I’m in my mid 40s. Haven’t opened the tubs in years.
It’s not taking up tons of space but it’s taking up some.
So when do you decide to get rid of it? Will the grandkids want to see it?

Katrina did all of that for me. I don't have anything left from grade school or highschool

Almost 20 years ago Katrina took care of the childhood mementos for me

Never wore school uniforms. Yearbooks and awards and stuff are still at my mom’s unless she’s thrown them out. I do still have my class ring.

I still have some items that have moved with me. Next time I move, I will likely try to sell some or give to family, donate, and then throw away the rest.

Keep it. Grandkids or great grandkids might be interested.

Stuff was in an attic for Katrina. Water got into attic. Water got into the attic but the tubs survived

I would never keep school uniforms. My trophies are all gone except for a couple of good orns and even then, what am I going to do with them. I'm not displaying them. I would never get rid of my senior yearbook. It doesn't take up any space.

Whenever you want.
It’s your shite, do what you want to do with it.

I typically don’t ever get rid of that kind of thing. The only reason to get rid of it is if you don’t want it any more and I still enjoy looking at that kind of stuff.

Never. My parents kept everything. Then their house burned down. Then…in time, they died.
I have nothing. I left everything there on purpose because I thought it was there forever. It wasn’t.
I have my memories, though. I cherish those.

It is reasonable to hang on to some things. My father had some trains from his childhood. My brother and I spent many happy hours playing with them. His great grandson plays with them now.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things

My mom was a packrat, has slowly given me that type of stuff. I’ve kept scrapbooks, will probably keep yearbooks. Those things are like a time machine.
I’ve ditched the clothes for the most part.
