1,181 feet above the river. Cost $170M.

Replaces rope pedestrian bridge that was destroyed by an archaeologist in the 1930s.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated two railway bridges that are a part of a new link connecting the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with the rest of the country.

The Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link running through the rugged Himalayas was built at a cost of nearly $5 billion. It includes 36 tunnels spanning 119 kilometers and 943 bridges that allow travel through valleys and mountain passes by train, while previously connectivity in the region was only possible using dangerous roads or by air. The dedication of the rail link “marks a new chapter in mobility, trade and tourism for Jammu and Kashmir,” New Delhi said.

That's the most Indian hype video for an infrastructure project I've ever seen

India and China dream about huge infrastructure projects that help people

Our congress dreams about giving billions to help countries kill people.

This is sick.

With all the environmental crap we go through and other regulatory shite, its now too expensive in the USA to produce large public infrastructure projects.

This in part s why this countries infrastructure is rotting.

I tried it on a winter night and discovered ice had formed. It proves you can get an adrenaline rush at only 20 mph.

$170,000,000 million for that is impressive.

We spent nearly that to add a ramp from I-10 to the new MSY terminal. This would cost billions to do in America.

The biggest fraud and waste in our government is the cost of government funded infrastructure projects.
