ESPN on best Tiger big leaguer ever

This is ESPN's super regional preview article on every series. The part I want to highlight is this section regarding Tigers who played in the majors:
"The LSU program has pumped out 12 current big leaguers, and while Alex Bregman and Aaron Nola have certainly had the better careers so far, Skenes is the man of the moment, perhaps on his way to the Cy Young Award in his first full season in the majors. The best Tiger ever is a good argument between Bregman, Albert Belle and Nola, with Bregman holding the slight edge over Belle in career WAR. Considering he should have many good years still ahead, let's go with him, even though Belle was one of the most feared sluggers of the 1990s."
So, is the room in agreement that Bregman is LSU's best major leaguer ever, or is it Albert Belle, or someone else not mentioned?

At this point it’s Belle, who has the better career numbers at this stage.

It's Albert Belle & it's not even close. They won't say it's him because of his utter hatred for media & reporters & his attitude. ESPN is gonna ESPN.

Alex will play 10 more years and be the best.

Belle
Bregs
eventually Skenes
Big Ben.
That’s the top players. I’d say DJ is currently 3rd until Skenes in a few years.
Nola had a decent run.

I think Lemahieu is ahead of Bregman at this point

Albert Belle
In 1,539 games over 12 seasons, Belle posted a .295 batting average (1,726-for-5,853) with 974 runs, 389 doubles, 21 triples, 381 home runs, 1,239 RBI, 88 stolen bases, 683 bases on balls, .369 on-base percentage and .564 slugging percentage. Defensively, he recorded a .976 fielding percentage playing at left and right field. In 18 postseason games, he hit .230 (14-for-61) with 10 runs, two doubles, six home runs, 14 RBI, one stolen base and 14 walks
He is Ranked 74 on the HR list in only 12 seasons. No one above him has less than 14 seasons. Most have 17 or more In the next 40 slots below him, only 2 people have 12 seasons or less. Impressive numbers.

Hard to say belle with the whole corked bat heist thing. Breg is doing it without a corked bat that we know of

We should be clear on how we’re judging. Bregs is an infield gold glover and wins the defensive argument by a mile. Not just about hitting.

Which is better for the hitter, a corked bat or stealing signs and knowing what pitch is coming?

Shiny bait you’ve got there

Bregs has the better career success with 2 titles and 7 straight ALCS appearances. And his walk off to win Game 5 in 2017 is the greatest moment in Astros history. Bar none.
Belle was for almost a decade in the conversation with Griffey, Thomas and Bonds for best slugger in the game. His peak numbers are Barry Bonds level. He is the greatest from LSU.

Wouldn’t bring up cheating to defend any player on that Astros team

Yes it’s a good thing that Bregman’s career batting performance has been completely free of scandal, you’re right about that.

Except for advanced stats like WAR suggesting Bergman is better, sure.

There are guys not even mentioned like Joe Adcock
Adcock had more hits (1832) than Belle or Lemeheiu and only 40 fewer HR than Belle in an era that wasn't as hitter friendly. Guys weren't raided up in the 50s/60s

It’s Belle right now. Bregman and Skenes will have a say when all is said and done.
Lemahieu continues to be overlooked.
Those that don’t know history have failed to mentioned Joe Adcock and Al Dark.
