Not for the prestige factor but that are really better quality enough to justify the increased cost, etc.

I have:

Shimano fishing reels, I have everyone I have ever bought and some are older than most people on this board.

Ruger guns. My dad taught me this. Never had a issue

Leopold scopes- very durable for use

lacrosse hunting boats

The premium priced outdoor clothing is worth it; First Lite, Sitka, Kuiu.

I was an academy brand guy until I went to Oklahoma during a polar vortex. Froze my arse off while the ones wearing the good stuff were comfortable. After that I bought into the hype and it delivers. Been back in super cold and been completely comfortable and dry.

For the whitewater junkies:

Atral PFD's - their Green jacket sets the standard - worth it for the clam shell pocket alone

Petzl Rad Line - 6 mm is ultra-light and compact - just don't forget it's static (ie: don't fall on it)

Watershed Dry Bags - they set the standard and definitely worth the money - the purge valve models rule

Mitchell, Galasport, and ZRE canoe - all three - nothing comes close to a quality curved (not spoon) canoe paddle

Kokatat Meridian Dry Suit - cheap (cough cough) insurance - more importantly makes the sport year round

This is a good one.

Ill add fiskars to the list. Everything they make is excellent value. Lincoln grease guns are great.

We could just resolve this list to people who sell normal everyday items but dont make them in China

Bruder kids toys are awesome. Made in various European countries.

I've had bad experiences with Lacrosse over the last 5-7 years. The boots I've bought haven't made it two hunting seasons.

My $65 HISEA boots from Amazon have held up longer and they're more comfortable.

THIS!!!!!

It sucks paying that much for socks but I'm reminded every time I wear them that my feet are thankful.
