Not sure how true some of this "reporting" is based on the comments, but the basic gist is JCR is coming back to the big screen in a pretty big supporting role on my current project up here in Pittsburgh.

Didn't he just finish filming a western (as the lead) not that long ago? A Prayer for the Dying?

Walk Hard is one of the best comedies of the last 50 years. It’s even better that he genuinely sang all these songs

Looks like he hasnt done anything live action since that Holmes & Watson abomination (besides a cameo in Licorice Pizza)

Holmes & Watson was bad enough to send him and Ferrell into half decade slumps.

He didn't retire, but I guess he hasn't been too prolific that last few years, so was glad to hear he's coming on board. I've never worked around him and like his work ... hence the share.

His mug will be a nice contrast to the angular beauty of Zoe Kravitz and Anna Sawai.

I wish Dr. Steve Brule would come back to do some new episodes.

I was just sharing he's getting back more into films and that I am loosely working with him. I respect his work and I thought it was interesting he joined a David Leitch film.

It was a slower day around here ... and the article popped up.

That’s great to hear. I recently rewatched Cedar Rapids and forgot how great he was in that role.

It still surprises me every time I watch Gangs of New York and see him playing that corrupt cop.
