Would it be the worst thing in the world if Russia took all of Europe?

Russia is by no means perfect, but they are a majority Christian nation, promote the nuclear family, and promote traditional gender roles. Seems like their presence in Western Europe would be an immediate upgrade.

Russia is a failed state. They're only able to act the way they do because they're hiding behind their nuclear arsenal. Without nukes the rest of Europe would have laid waste to it long ago.

EU is a failed state.
That said, no country could have that much power and resources without being a constant threat to us.

I do find the US trend towards secularism sickening. But it’s nowhere near as bad as Western Europe. And that doesn’t even address the fact that you can’t post memes about illegal immigration in Western Europe without getting arrested.

Russia has no interest in all of Europe or even all of Eastern Europe. They want Ukraine for two reasons: It's very rich agricultural land (Russia is not) and there are tons of ethnic Russians living in Ukraine. So, keeping the peace would be easier. If Russia went on after Ukraine to invade Poland it would be a total mess for them to win and impossible to rule and keep the peace. Poles hate Russia. Putin doesn't want to go into his old age dealing with a Poland turned into a terrorist state.

I don’t know how some of you perform the mental gymnastics you do. You complain about free speech and arrests in Britain, pretending Russia doesn’t do far, far worse to dissidents. There is no free speech in Russia. Criticizing Putin too harshly ends you up on the frontlines or Siberian gulag that will make jail in Britain feel like the Hilton.
