That’s a good way to see the entire Russian army in Ukraine obliterated by NATO and US air/missile strikes. Not even Trump would stand idly by if nukes are used in Europe. Allowing that without a response invites their free use by Russia again and again.

Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack launched by a country we weren't at war with whole we were in diplomatic talks over their territory expansion encroaching onto ours. It was the definition of a surprise attack. .. Russia has been at war for years.
Not the same at all. It was a Trojan horse style attack. But carried out hours after they themselves carried out a massive drone attack. .
My real take away is seeing the future of warfare and seeing that our distance alone won't protect us from drone warfare once our enemies use it on us.

Russia has acknowledged the attacks and planes burning. Whether or not one will equate "burning" to "destroyed" is up to you. But there's zero doubt they were hit. There are multiple videos from bases around Russia that are available too. Russia is going to strike back the only question is to what extent.

It’s really all Ukraine can hope for is the at cost of Russia’s assault into Ukraine is too expensive in terms of military assets that they stop and accept a peace.

May well be, but doubt 40+ "nuclear capable" bombers were destroyed, if so Russia would already have retaliated and the entire world would be on edge.
The one video linked looked like one prop plane TU-95) edit: two: so if thats what y'all are talking about, its meh.
