People, especially the national media really do not understand and completely underestimate how badly O fricked up the program in 2020 and 2021.
If he wouldn’t have been fired, 2022 would have been a losing season.

I am excited about this team for sure. However, they haven't lost a series at home this year, and usually perform well at home. It is the road where they struggle. Yes, there were many negative threads on here. There were also many threads where posters thought LSU would get to Omaha, and then we would see how we perform outside the Box. That isn't being negative, that is just being objective.

Throw in losing 20 players after 2019
No Spring for their replacements
A 10 game schedule of only SEC (I mean 5-5 may actually have been something like 9-4…not good, but not the end of the world).
Myles Brennan getting hurt in game three of 2020, and then breaking his arm just before camp in 2021 didn’t help either.
If JB breaks his arm prior to 2019, there is no title. Losing the starting QB was a big loss (both years).
Ryan Clark leading a (successful) sabotage tour. When players aren’t practicing, but instead following Clark’s “marching” orders, that’s not good at all.
O chasing snatch 24x7 sure as hell didn’t help matters either.
TLDR
O definitely deserves some blame, but damn, that was a run of bad luck during those two years that is hard to match.

You forgot the left was revving the blacks up and the kids wanted O to bend over like Saban did and he refused. That got swept under the rug and people often forget.
