I feel even more confident than I did in 23

From a pitching standpoint yeah. The bats going cold worries me. Pitching can be great but you still have to score some to win.

I thought we were firing Jay in the 2nd inning last night?

We will have to win some games 1-0 or 2-0

We have to get the bats more consistent. Tonight looks great but we have to get Bear, Milam and Braswell’s back to last years success. If that happens, we have a great shot.

I like the composition of this team and hopeful for a deep run. But I felt way stronger in 2023

We had Skenes and Floyd and a ridiculous offense. Let’s not go crazy

We famously had to as well in '23

Why? Regardless of where we finish, it’s a decent discussion. Some teams aren’t built for an extended tournament style play. Some only for single games or best of 3 series.

Floyd
Floyd would be the Sunday guy at best this year let’s be real. Anderson/Eyanson best 1-2 we’ve had since Gausman/Nola.

Agreed but 2023 lineup was the strength of our team despite having Superman as an ace. Didn’t even need him to win the championship series.

Hell, Superman didn’t even win the golden spikes. His teammate did. Ha

Monster has swung it much better of late.

If Milam and a couple of others can get hot(still waiting on Jared) we will be tough to beat.

If Milam and a few others get hot, we would be impossible to beat. We are already tough to beat.

LSU has scored and won plenty of games. Some act like LSU isn’t a national seed with a shot to win it all.

If the bats come around we're scary. But the long cold snaps in the batting are killers

Agreed. Baseball is a sport of averages. And if every LSU hitter just bats their average from here on out, look out.

They don’t have to “get hot”. Just all hit their season averages.

Floyd was fine and came up big in big moments. But he is not in the same stratosphere as Anderson and Eyanson. Hell he really isn’t in the same stratosphere of Evans our number 3. That’s a major advantage.
