Ryan Borberg threw against Rhode Island. Kade should be facing off against Ellwanger or Bucknam

Ellwanger gets a lot of K’s but he’s also got a lot of walks. 90 K’s in 59 innings with 36 walks. He has multiple starts where he pitched 4 innings and had 4 walks..also has only pitched passed the 5th inning 3 times this year out of 15 starts
LSU will work his pitch count up and knock him out early.

We need a patient approach at the plate tonight. Make him pitch strikes. Wait for your pitch. Don’t just go up there swinging for the fences.

Do either pitch leftie? I’d rather see us against a rightie.

That is a shite ton of walks

DBU’s weakness is their pen. Need to get to it early. I’m guessing they’ll throw Bucknam after Ellwanger and figure out game 3 later.

Would be massive if LSU could jump on them early. Takes a lot of pitching options away from them.

Lets see if they intentionally walk Curiel to get to Jones that is a boss move.
Hopefully Bear gets his shite together going to need a big bat in the line up not a k machine

That's a smart move. Jones is prone to striking out.

Did this happen in last nite's game? I did not watch the game that's why i'm asking.

Probably need to slide Jones down a slot til he finds his swing. Swap him and Dickinson. Don’t really see a down side

Statistically looks like Ellwanger is actually better when he's on his game but he seems to have control issues so hopefully they can take advantage of that early.

Jones had a hit and 2 balls he smoked that got killed by the wind.

the swing wasn’t his problem last night.
